摘要: Events such as the Falklands War and naval actions in Persian Gulf have emphasized unique nature of battle casualty care on warships. The purpose this paper is to describe two which illustrate problems that a medical officer may confront when warship sustains damage: USS Franklin March 1945 Stark May 1987. Although neither ship was sunk, damage severe about one-quarter each ship's crew became casualties. More than three-quarters casualties were killed, death being due blast, fire smoke inhalation.
