摘要: In comparisons of the welfare individuals and socioeconomic aggregates (regions, states,...) health status is an important dimension. following paper we focus on question whether between geographical subunits (local communities) converged/diverged in time period 1969 - 2004 Austria. We use age standardized mortality rates as indicators for analyse convergence/divergence overall (i) whole population, (ii) females, (iii) males (iv) gender gap mortality. Convergence/Divergence studied by applying different concepts cross-regional inequality (weighted standard deviation, coefficient variation, Theil- Coefficient inequality). Various econometric techniques OLS, Quantile Regression, Kendall’s Rank Concordance) are used to test absolute conditional beta-convergence find mixed results measures applied. Absolute confirmed both weighted OLS well quantile regression estimations, but also strong evidence existence convergence clubs
