摘要: A detailed pathological study of the coronary arteries was carried out on 130 random white subjects (91 male and 39 female) who died suddenly in Glasgow area. In 30 there a clearly defined cause death that not due to ischaemic heart disease. eight doubt. Ninety two showed stenosis resulting loss more than 75% artery cross sectional area and/or acute events with no other death. Of these 92 considered have disease, 64% plaque rupture thrombosis which occurred at sites previous high grades stenosis. Twenty had intraluminal unrelated fissuring. Thirty (41%) histological evidence recent myocardial necrosis; 34 these. There correlation between duration symptoms before occurrence events. Acute events, mainly form rupture, are common finding sudden when careful is made whole arterial tree.
