Efficiency evaluation of the photocatalytic degradation of zinc oxide nanoparticles immobilized on modified zeolites in the removal of styrene vapor from air

摘要: Styrene monomer is a volatile organic compound that has many applications in plastics, rubber, and paint manufacturing industries. Exposure to styrene vapor certain effects, including suppression of the central nervous system, loss concentration, weakness fatigue, nausea there possibility carcinogenesis long-term exposure. Therefore, it necessary control eliminate this vapor. The aim study was investigate performance zinc oxide nanoparticles on modified natural zeolites removing from air. Natural clinoptilolite were using hydrochloric acid diphenyldichlorosilane. Next, with different ratios 3, 5, 10 wt% stabilized zeolites. To determine their characteristics, samples used BET, SEM XRD analyses. input concentration ratio studied as effective functional parameters removal process. efficiency results (Ze) (Mze) adsorption air show breakthrough bed MZe compared Ze increases approximately two times. Also, showed by process UV/MZe-ZnO 3%, 5%, 10%, 36.5%, 40%, 26%, respectively. From can be concluded increase photocatalytic degradation. Clinoptilolites Iran an adsorbent remove polluted industries have low concentrations flow rates.
