摘要: Although procrastination is a widespread phenomenon with significant influence on our personal and professional life, its genetic foundation somewhat unknown. An important factor that influences ability to tackle specific goals directly instead of putting them off initiate cognitive, motivational emotional control mechanisms, so-called metacontrol. These metacontrol mechanisms have been frequently related dopaminergic signaling. To gain deeper insight into the components procrastination, we examined whether genetically induced differences in system are associated interindividual trait-like measured as decision-related action (AOD). Analyzing data 278 healthy adults, found sex-dependent effect TH genotype AOD. Interestingly, only women, T-allele carriers showed lower AOD values were therefore more likely procrastinate. Additionally, investigated morphology functional connectivity amygdala previously happen be thus system. However, there was no volume or difference between groups. Therefore, this study first suggest genetic, anatomical affect independently.
