摘要: Advances in regenerative medicine are rapidly transforming healthcare. A cornerstone of is the introduction cells that were grown or manipulated vitro. Key questions arise after these re-introduced are: whether localized appropriate site; survive; and migrate. These predominantly relate to safety therapeutic approach (i.e. tumorigenesis), but certain aspects can also influence efficacy (e.g. site injection). The European Medicines Agency has indicated suitable methods for stem cell tracking should be applied where available. We here discuss regulatory framework, as well scientific evidence, considered facilitate potential clinical implementation magnetic resonance imaging contrast media track implanted/injected human studies.
