摘要: The dispersed air flotation (DiAF) process was utilized to separate algal cells (Chlorella sp.) from water. Two types of collector, cationic N-cetyl-N,N,N-trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and anionic sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS), were used. It observed that 20% cell removal achieved in the presence 40 mg/L SDS, ca. 86% removed at CTAB. Upon addition 10 chitosan, over 90% when SDS (20 mg/L) used as collector. Air flow rate affected slightly. Optimum pH values for 4.0 5.0. Flotation efficiency decreased high ionic strength. electrostatic interaction between collector surface plays a critical role separation processes.
