摘要: Abstract The kinetics of O 2 and H reactions with the active mass plates have been investigated by carrying out open-circuit overcharge tests on cells coming from commercial valve-regulated lead/acid batteries different producers. at open circuit showed that rate reduction negative is about four orders magnitude higher than other examined (evolution positive freshly charged negatives, consumption partially discharged plates). leaking through battery walls, which a permselective membrane behaviour, was also considered. Overcharge allowed mathematical model proposed elsewhere to be verified provided information cell behaviour when current became equal or lower -reduction limiting current. experiments single couples (1 1 negative) sealed in glass vessels construction has strong influence gas-recombination processes.
