摘要: In 1857, the German ophthalmologist von Graefe described glaucomatous optic disc excavation with a “normal” intraocular pressure (IOP) by digital palpation. He called this “amaurosis and nerve head excavation.” At that time for many decades following, open-angle glaucoma IOP was considered rarity. 1980, Levene, in landmark paper, reviewed definitions known literature about entity, which he “low-tension glaucoma” (LTG). outlined six historical LTG – one descriptive only five both causal descriptive.
