摘要: Received 6 December 2013; revised 27 January 2014; accepted 28 2014ABSTRACT: Potential mutagenic and genotoxic effects of Chlorthiophos, an organophosphate pesticide, were evaluated using four standard assays. Five different concentrations the pesticide were tested byan Ames test Salmonella typhimurium strains TA97, TA98, TA100, TA102, with without S9metabolic activation. No Chlorthiophos showed activity on TA100,and TA102 strains, S9 fraction, but all to TA98 strain S9. Sis-ter chromatid exchange (SCE), chromosome aberration (CA), micronucleus (MN) tests used toinvestigate in human peripheral lymphocytes treated 25, 50,100, 200 mg/mL for 24 48 h. The nuclear division index (NDI),replication (RI), mitotic (MI) also calculated determine cytotoxicity Chlor-thiophos. increase SCE frequency was seen any treatment period or concentration, Chlor-thiophos at increased CAs. Increases MN formation only observed atChlorthiophos following h treatments. treatmentreduced MI NDI significantly, had no effect RI.
