摘要: Publisher Summary Parkinson's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and loss of postural reflexes. Theories genetic, environmental, complex gene/environment interactions have each predominated at various times in the past. Genetic factors appear to be more important young-onset cases, however. Causative genes are found few families with parkinsonism inherited Mendelian fashion. No single gene shown play significant role etiology typical sporadic disease. The most cases remains uncertain. Most studies do not support major genetic contribution except for rare small subgroup patients younger age onset. This field research complicated uncertain relationship between these unusual subgroups Nonetheless, multiple environmental may combine determine level risk any one individual. Continued investigation associations provide clues etiology. Such investigations ultimately lead discovery new strategies prevention or treatment. Investigations variations that treatment responsiveness can also guidance optimal strategy an individual, allowing maximizing symptom control using agents available today.
