摘要: This doctoral thesis explores the relationship between politics, Islam and news media in UK. Using theory of mediatisation as a framework for understanding power, it argues that politics cannot be fully appreciated without consideration role public relations practice within it. Drawing on Bourdieusian field theory, utilises textual analysis 31 semi-structured interviews with practitioners, representatives Muslim organisations others professional experience to establish whether can understood distinct field, how mediates political journalistic fields what implications this might seeking shape content.
