摘要: Although the relationship between basic cellular defect in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and factors that predispose CF patient to colonization with Pseudomonas aeruginosa remain undefined, it seems clear infection this organism provides stimulus for chronic inflammation periodic exacerbations characterize progressive lung disease almost all patients. Not only does inflammatory response fail eradicate inciting organism, but a growing body of evidence suggests actually contributes local host defenses perpetuates infection. Thus, vicious cycle is established. The body’s homeostatic regulatory mechanisms seem unable bring under control, products cause much pulmonary damage characterizes disease. Recognition excessive may more harm than good has already led therapeutic trials corticosteroids nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs. In future, likely protease inhibitors other agents might be employed an effort lessen caused by poorly controlled and/or reduce overall level inflammation. chapter, I will review lead chronically infected provide rationale use therapy.
