摘要: Mangroves are known areas of deposition terrestrial and marine materials, being thus potentially accumulators heavy metals. Moreover, they a major source debris which forms the basis most tropical coastal food chains. Thus, metals accumulated in mangroves can contaminate such chains reach human beings. For this reason, their determination is an important factor for establishment quality standards control pollutants general. In order to contribute study these environments sediments from Massangana Tatuoca Rivers area Industrial Portuary Complex Suape, State Pernambuco - Brazil were analyzed. The concentrations Cd, Pb, Al, Zn Fe determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. levels obtained [Cd (< 0.10 mg.kg-1), Pb (<0.05 mg.kg-1 – 3.14 Mn (12 mg.kg-1– 65 (<0.04 (710 15000 Al (1100 1600 mg.kg-1] compared with some international reference values (National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration NOAA Summary Existing Canadian Environmental Quality Guidelines), showed below established levels, suggesting no bioavailability biota. variation sea tides particle size samples may still hinder accumulation sediment region. However, be harmful benthic organisms fixed substrate being, therefore, more susceptible contamination.
