摘要: Hindu Kush Himalaya is home to many cultural and religious sites. The literature on the valuation of sites in mountain terrains thin. Hence, their development sustainability are often ignored. Using primary survey data from three different Kailash Sacred Landscape India Nepal, value visitors households living surrounding areas was estimated using a modified travel cost method. As by foot offer donations at sites, estimations account for these aspects calculations. For sample per year average use services be USD 2.9 million. Excluding outside visitors, annual approximately 200,000 entire KSL area, which covers 31,252 km 2 , over 22.6 million, 7% 15% capita income Indian Nepali households, respectively, indicating importance natural-cultural environments rural livelihoods. values will help planners manage sustainably improving livelihoods people area.
