摘要: Introduction: The Coleoptera Scarabaeidae family is one of the most diverse groups insects on planet, living in complex microbiological environments. Their immune systems have evolved with generation host defense peptides but only a small number these been characterized. Methods: In this work two sources information were retrieved: 1) De novo transcriptomic data from species neotropical Scarabidae (Dichotomius satanas and Ontophagus curvicornis); 2) Sequence deposited available databases. A BLAST-based search against transcriptomes subset sequences representative Host Defense Peptides (HDP). HDP described the cecropin, defensin, attacin, coleoptericin families; their physical/chemical structural properties described. Results: This reports 155 novel identified 9 seven order: D. (n= 76; 49.03%), O. curvicornis 23; 14.83%), T. dichotomus 18; 11.61%), nigriventris 10; 6.45%), Heterochelus sp 6; 3.87%), conspicillatum 11.61%) P. japonica 4; 2.58%). These based similarity to known insect families. New members defensins 58; 37.42%), cecropins attancins 41; 26.45%) coleoptericins 38; 24.52%), physicochemical, characteristics, sequence relationship other analyzed. Conclusions: 155 new could be identified, families nine transcriptome beetle species.
