摘要: Abstract Non-ionic polyacrylamide gels immersed in aqueous solutions of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) exhibit a continuous volume change upon increase the PEG concentration external solution. The becomes discontinuous when ionizable groups are incorporated into network. As proportion increases, or, as molecular weight decreases, critical required for collapse rises. distribution inside and outside gel phase changes with volume; it also exhibits at transition. Flory-Huggins theory gives qualitative description phenomenon.
