摘要: The content of the sesquiterpenoids, juvenile hormones (JH), JH-I, JH-II, JH-III and Vitamin E (α-, β-, γ- δ-Tocopherols) was investigated in mated unmated adult Cecropia silkworms, Hyalophora cecropia (Linnaeus, 1758), using combined chromatography/mass spectrometry methods. relatively most abundant derivative α-tocopherol, highest concentrations which were found fat body males (30 ng/organ), substantially decreased after mating. Conversely, α-tocopherol increased more than twice female abdomens This suggests that transferred from male to reproductive systems during courtship. Chromatographic analysis extracts prepared abdomens, bodies, organs revealed separate fractions (α-tocopherol, β- + γ-tocopherols δ-tocopherol) evenly distributed quantitative proportions 18400 : 550 100, respectively. These results suggest sesquiterpenoid derivatives play important functions insect reproduction, analogy with similar reproduction vertebrate animals. 10,11-epoxy-homofarnesoate ester known as is thought be true hormone corpus allatum, virtually absent or undetectable virgin females moths. In contrast E, JH-I also occurred below detectable limits body/haemolymph males. Actually, exclusively lumen exocrine, accessory sexual (colleterial) glands (50 ng/organ). Smaller amounts this excretory product associated parts system (testes, vas deferens ejaculatory ducts), are directly connected colleterial gland by connecting ducts. ducts 9 ng/organ courtship, when conversely appeared (20 ng/abdomen). We conclude, therefore, both these compounds, become translocated into ejaculate A possibility serve physiological (antioxidant, sperm survival, fertilisation, stabilisation egg chorion) has been suggested. relative contents JH-II 64000 100 20, According data, widespread JH analogue other species, methyl epoxyfarnesoate, commonly JH-III, present only traces. real status defined exocrine gland. presence not females, secretory inactivity corpora allata, led us formulate several reasons why an cannot considered hormone. allatum still unknown emphasized.
