Use of Computational Fluid Dynamics for Absorption Packed Column Design

摘要: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is today commonly used in a wide variety of process industries and disciplines for the development innovative technologies. The present article aims to show how CFD can be as an effective analysis design tool packed gas/liquid absorption columns. It first shown characterisation packings. different hydrodynamic mass transfer parameters are investigated adapted methods suggested. Secondly, column distribution internal discussed simulations should performed improve gas liquid distributors. An example new technologies floating installation reactive also presented.
