摘要: In order to quantify the alkali reactivity of microcrystalline quartz in carbonate rocks, profile-fitting technique was adopted analyse its X ray diffraction lines 20 = 66·5-70° using FWHM (full width at half maximum) monitor crystallinity. It found that for all alkali-reactive rocks tested, silica present as well-crystallized quartz. so expansion is not due alkali-silica reaction (ASR).
