摘要: The direction of visual motion in Drosophila is computed by separate pathways for moving ON and OFF features. 4th order neurons T4 (ON) T5 (OFF) are the first their respective to extract a directionally selective response from non-selective inputs. Recent functional studies have found major role local inhibition generation responses. However, lacks small-field inhibitory Here we use whole-cell recordings find an asymmetric receptive field structure, with fast excitation persistent, spatially trailing inhibition. We assayed pairwise interactions stimulation across field, no active amplification, only passive suppression. constructed biophysical model based on classic Receptive Field. This model, which conductances was tuned match non-moving stimuli, accurately predicts responses complex stimuli.
