摘要: Self-assembly is the spontaneous noncovalent association of two or more molecules under equilibrium conditions into stable, well-defined aggregates [1]. Intermolecular forces are capable effectively organizing multicomponent supramolecular assemblies in a reversible and accurate fashion using error-correcting mechanisms. Within last decade, many excellent reviews original publications describing steady progress this field have appeared [2]. In Nature, self-assembly ubiquitous strategy involved formation of, for example, cell membranes, double-stranded nucleic acids viruses. chemistry, provides novel, rapid way to construct complex nanostructures, receptor systems, catalysts new materials. Calixarenes, particular, had great impact history [3]. Their three dimensional, concave surface, commercial availability, relatively rigid structure well-developed synthetic chemistry made them extremely convenient platforms elaboration [4]. The discussion chapter developed on basis increasing complexity assembled systems. Many different can be recognised as controlling molecular assembly crucial issue how they may used concert give both desired structures functions product supermolecules. Of particular interest reversibly formed capsules, “molecule-within-molecule” complexes, which represent an extreme form recognition.
