摘要: As advanced intelligent transportation systems become more prevalent with the use of cyber-physical systems, information and communications technologies, Big Data, there is an increasing need to improve process technology evaluation. Existing procedures typically involve pure computer simulations followed by expensive restricted field studies. We propose a integrated solution: using mobile devices mimic algorithms within actual technologies so that technological design alternatives can be cheaply evaluated on field. A architecture developed for tablet-based surrogate system. The tablet many equipment packages transmit data, location, text, video between themselves central facility. Measures effectiveness are identified evaluating these in trials. Three implemented as experiments conducted Ryerson University campus Toronto, ON. experiments? measures deviation from schedule, total time, person counts-applicable real world problems. demonstrate how we quantitatively measure field: average improvement 64% cumulative schedule "Uniform Arrivals" experiment, 27% time "Scavenger Hunt" but poor error when LIVEGAUGE stationary sensor. An open-source online repository created discussed.
