摘要: Long-term stability of deformable mirrors (DM) is a critical performance requirement for instruments requiring open-loop corrections. The effects temperature changes in the DM are equally such instruments. This paper investigates long-term three different Iris AO PTT111 DMs that were calibrated at times ranging from 13 months to nearly 29 prior subsequent testing. Performance testing showed only small increase positioning errors occurred initial calibration date test dates. increases ranged as little 1.38 nm rms after 18 5.68 months. also studies changes, up 6.2°C around room temperature. For arrays, 0.62–1.42 rms/°C. Removing packaging shows ≤0.50 Finally, measured data individual segments deformed ≤0.11 rms/°C when heated.
