摘要: The study investigates faba bean and lupin seeds when used alone or in combination as protein supplements for growing lambs, their effects on growth, carcass characteristics, hematological traits. Twentyfour Gentile di Puglia male lambs were weaned at 38  2 days of age, divided into three homogeneous groups, based body weight (BW). For eight weeks before slaughter, the assigned to one isoenergetic isonitrogenous dietary treatments, differing supplement: a diet (FB) containing 300 g/kg (on fed basis) seeds; plus (FB+L) 150 (both basis); (L) 250 basis). Individual weights feed intakes recorded weekly calculate average daily gain (ADG), intake (ADFI) conversion ratio. In 1st 8th trial, blood samples taken order measure glucose, total cholesterol, NEFA, creatinine, urea concentration respective electrophoresis fractions. Carcass traits tissue composition leg loin determined. Slaughter was lower diets than beans. Group L, ADG FB FB+L groups. L had ADFI other two higher percentage half Groups lambs. Leg dissection data showed have greater bone concentrations groups end trial. use associated with growth performances whereas, is given results suggest positive effects.
