摘要: Abstract The second target of goal number 11 the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development United Nations emphasized need to provide sustainable transport systems all. Here, we applied Nigerian Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning model evaluate different scenarios low-carbon in Nigeria. Three were developed based on fuel substitution: business-as-usual (BAU), countermeasure 1 (CM1), and 2 (CM2). Our results indicate that under BAU, greenhouse gas emissions are expected reach 39 MtCO2eq 2040. However, due a shift cleaner fuels, this value is drop by 33% 42% CM1 CM2 scenarios, respectively. We also observed significant reductions final energy demand scenarios. In addition, analyzed cobenefits from perspective local air pollutants emissions. Finally, argue more dedicated policies will be needed keep sector path sustainability.
