摘要: This investigation was aimed to evaluate triatomine colonization in domestic and extradomestic ecotopes located around a palm community, determine triatomines infection index obtain human seroprevalence rates. Samplings were performed spring 1998 summer 1999 Colonia Laurel, Department San Roque, Corrientes, Argentina. Timed-collection of (man/hour method) performed. Trypanosoma cruzi identity determined by morphological criteria PCR. Indirect hemagglutination indirect immunofluorescence antibody tests used for detection T. volunteers. Sixteen dwellings analized, 11 resulted infested Triatoma infestans two sordida. A total 122 all age classes collected recorded 16.7%. confirmed as the predominant species domicile sordida peridomicile. Diagnosis Chagas disease 77.9% (88/113) inhabitants prevalence 26.1%. relatively high rate observed 0-10 group. Seropositives percentages increased with reached 66.6% older than 40 years. Presence infestans, seroreactivity cruzi, < or = 4 year old seropositives precarious life conditions prove that this endemic is still problem studied area.
