摘要: Abstract Methanol may be produced by carbonylating alcohols in the presence of alkali metal to produce alkyl formates which are then hydrogenated original alcohol and methanol. As part a study methanol production this route, present investigation has been concerned with hydrogenolysis over copper chromite catalysts. Hydrogenolysis series found proceed at moderate temperatures pressures but reacts formate methyl alcohol. The latter transesterification reaction exhibits rapid equilibrium, position is little influenced temperature. Preliminary studies effect structure on reactions have carried out.
