Phytoremediation potential of rhizobacterial isolates from Kans grass ( Saccharum spontaneum ) of fly ash ponds

摘要: Kans grass (Saccharum spontaneum) is a weed species that frequently found in many heavy metal-enriched waste dumps including fly ash pond sites. In this study, among collection of phosphate-solubilizing bacterial strains isolated from the rhizosphere Saccharum spontaneum present abandoned site Mejia Thermal Power Station (MTPS-DVC), three were characterized for their plant growth-promoting abilities. The isolates identified as Bacillus anthracis strain MHR2, Staphylococcus sp. MHR3 and MHR4 had phosphate solubilization indices 2.86, 2.31 2.40 they produced soluble phosphates 700, 600 640 mg l−1, respectively, 4 days. all PSBs, pH significantly decreased, indicating production various organic acids. They showed other features like ammonia, siderophore, hydrocyanide IAA. All them resistant to multiple metals antibiotics. Dry fresh weight shoot root lengths Brassica juncea L. increased presence these pot cultures. also phytoextraction ability plants by enhancing metal accumulation tissues. Thus, indigenous stress-adapted rhizobacteria may serve potential biotechnological tool successful ecorestoration metal-contaminated
