摘要: A model of simple molecule sorption in polymers is proposed which embraces both the glassy and rubbery regions, incorporates successful dual-mode below glass-transition temperature. Hole filling shown to be an important mechanism above Tg, although saturation effects do not occur polymer. The interprets “dual-mode” Langmuir Henry's law parameters at molecular level, a statistical mechanical analysis allows estimation parameter values, as well specifying certain interrelationships between parameters. Applications gas solubility data five are considered [polyethylene (PE), poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), polystyrene (PS), polymethacrylate (PMA), poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc)] semiquantitative agreement obtained for PE, PET, lesser extent, PS. For PMA PVAc, qualitative only.
