Cisplatin, doxorubicin, and 5-fluorouracil chemotherapy for salivary gland malignancies: a pilot study of the Northern California Oncology Group.

摘要: Seventeen patients with advanced or recurrent salivary gland cancer were treated cisplatin, doxorubicin, and 5-fluorouracil combination chemotherapy (PAF). Two achieved a complete response four partial response, for an overall rate of 35%. Six the nine who received PAF in neoadjuvant setting did not respond proceeded to surgery and/or radiation therapy. No difference was found between those disease v chemotherapy. All three adenocarcinoma responded. The duration metastatic ranged from 6 15 months. regimen delivered primarily outpatient associated acceptable toxicity. demonstrates activity malignancies, further evaluation this seems warranted.
