摘要: Abstract A multifunctional catalyst for fuel cell applications, Pt/RuO2–SiOx/C, has been prepared by supporting platinum nanoparticles on surface-modified carbon black, fabricated in situ hydrolysis of ruthenium and silicon precursors pre-treated black. The is extensively characterized X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy. shows high activity toward methanol oxidation oxygen reduction at room temperature. Notably, the addition oxide significantly improves performance MEAs under non-humidified conditions. self-humidification with Pt/RuO2–SiOx/C (using optimized 3 wt.% RuO2) as anode enhanced over 20% compared to Pt/SiOx/C catalyst. It suggested that promotion RuO2 may result from dispersion caused adding oxide, synergistic effect oxide.
