摘要: The need for multiaccess protocols arises whenever a resource is shared by many independent contending users. Two major factors contribute to such situation: the share expensive resources in order achieve their efficient utilization, or provide high degree of connectivity communication among subscribers (or both). In data transmission systems, bandwidth often prime resource, and it with respect this that we view here. We give paper unified presentation various techniques which group into five categories: 1) fixed assignment techniques, 2) random access 3) centrally controlled demand 4) distributed control, 5) mixed strategies. discuss applicability different enivironments, namely, satellite channels, local area networks multihop store-and-forward broadcast networks, types traffic, namely stream traffic bursty traffic. also present performance terms utilization message delay.
