摘要: Fe-doped Ni (oxy)hydroxide, Ni(Fe)OxHy, is one of the most-active oxygen-evolution-reaction (OER) catalysts in alkaline conditions, while Fe-free NiOxHy a poor OER catalyst. One approach to better understand role Fe, and enable design with higher activities, find other cations that behave similarly compare common chemical features between them. Here we evaluate effects La, Mn, Ce, Ti incorporation on activity redox behavior rigorously solution using cyclic voltammetry electrochemical quartz-crystal microgravimetry. We use X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy time-of-flight secondary-ion-mass spectrometry confirm measurements are free from relevant levels trace Fe contamination. only Ce leads increased (about factor 10 enhancement), but this effect transient, likely due phase separation. further no clear correlation nomin...
