University education in developing economies: access, competition, and neglect

摘要: There is little disputing the link between education and economic development, whether at level of nation or individual. abundant support this tenet. However, a global level, there appear to be fewer instances where strategic effort made by governments effectively establish sustain linkage. This particularly case in developing, emerging economies may have commitment fully functioning system—from pre-school through graduate school—yet gap remains design implementation system realization growth for individuals nation. chapter discusses two critical factors that impede many developing countries from closing gap.
