摘要: Abstract The characterisation of mineral texture has been a major concern for process mineralogists, as liberation characteristics the ores are intimately related to mineralogical texture. While great effort done automatically characterise in unbroken ores, textural attributes particles is usually descriptive. However, quantitative essential improve and predict performance minerallurgical processes (i.e. all involved separation interest) achieve more accurate geometallurgical model. Driven by this necessity achieving complete particles, methodology recently developed type intergrowth between phases within means digital image analysis. In methodology, set indices quantify different features identify pattern discriminant paper shows application chalcopyrite rougher concentrate Kansanshi copper mine (Zambia). sample, variety patterns with other minerals used illustrate methodology. results obtained show that method identifies provides information detailed characterisation. Therefore, use routinely tool automated mineralogy would contribute better understanding ore behaviour during processes.
