摘要: Depth image based rendering (DIBR) is suited for 3D-TV and autostereoscopic multiview displays. With DIBR, each 2D captured with a camera at given position has an associated depth map. This map used to process the original so as generate new images if they were taken from different viewpoints. In present study we examined quality of stereoscopic 3D that generated using surrogate maps, is, maps created blur edge information images. three methods. Formal subjective assessments indicated thus have enhanced quality, marginal loss in when compared non-stereoscopic finding surprising because contained limited mainly object boundaries. We speculate visual system combines pictorial cues interpolation between boundaries edges arrive overall perception depth. The methods creating imaging investigated this might be applications where accuracy not critical.
