摘要: Sedimentation velocity was measured for the following materials: (1) T2 DNA isolated without mechanical breakage and purified by ion-exchange chromatography; (2) first product produced stirring DNA; (3) subfractions of separated chromatography, including putative half molecules; (4) quarter-length analogues to molecules. Some these materials were also studied capillary viscometry density gradient centrifugation. Results are summarized in Table 1 Fig. 6. The results establish a relation between relative molecular weight, sedimenta- tion coefficient, viscosity over fourfold range higher than that preparations previously. Quarter length fragments similar physical properties bacterial which weight 16 million has been assigned. This other facts set limits DNA, must lie 50 120 but cannot be further specified at this time.
