摘要: Purpose – To examine the political and institutional processes surrounding construction of consumer‐orientated performance measurement (PM) practices in Swedish university sector.Design/methodology/approach A longitudinal case study sector drawing on neo‐institutional sociology (NIS) adopting an organisational field‐level perspective.Findings Particular attention is paid to interplay between different actors competing dominate representation student interests this field, strategic discourses invoked legitimise their actions unfolding (re‐)construction PM practices, but also how conditioned by institutionalised structures existing power relationships.
