摘要: The extraordinary rise in the old population Western world underscores importance of studies on aging and longevity to decrease medical, economic social problems associated with increased number non-autonomous individuals affected by invalidating pathologies. Centenarians have reached extreme limits human life span. They are best example longevity, representing selected which appearance major age-related diseases has been consistently delayed or avoided. There is growing evidence that genetic component becomes higher survival at age over 90 years. For centenaries, it reaches up 33% for women 48% men. Therefore, exceptional a complex, hereditable trait runs across generations. Longevity should correlate either presence protective alleles absence detrimental alleles. aim this review discuss possible attainment successful context lessons learned from centenarian genetics.
