The evolution of Canadian sport policy

摘要: Canadian sport policy has witnessed important changes in the last century. Governmental intervention increased conjunction with breadth and scope of policy. This article examines evolution to identify dominant ideas institutions highlighting importance these policy-making. Although several authors have noted dominance excellence orientation, few studies examined role formulation. The notable exceptions are either comparative or focused on high performance sport. argues that formal informal such as federalism, institutionalized relations played continue play a key orienting by enabling constraining options.
