摘要: A major responsibility of the UNDP/World Bank/WHOs Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) Social Economic (SER) Unit is to help develop test control strategies which are acceptable endemic communities effective controlling disease affordable sustainable. The unit was quite active this regard during 1991-1992. SER also developed research into impact economic restructuring changes health care financing upon target diseases. Furthermore has sponsored trials innovative mechanisms documented social costs tropical diseases contributed methodological developments helped strengthen capacity countries undertake socioeconomic worked closely with Epidemiology Field component TDR. authors review development appropriate women experiments methodology epidemiology field building TDR highlights 1991-92 next steps.
