摘要: The hydrothermal process is a commonly used technique for manufacturing nanoparticles and nanostructured surfaces, has been to manufacture titanium dioxide (TiO2) bactericidal surfaces. This work examines the mechanical properties, surface morphology stability of TiO2 as function NaOH concentration. At concentrations below 1.50 M, individual pillar-like nanostructures with high Young’s modulus were formed. When concentration was increased above nanostructure tips fused together form large interconnected mesh-like network. structure caused reduction in hardness surface. properties remained constant over 6 month period, indicating nanostructures. demonstrates synthesis stable surfaces different modulus, using method, potential application orthopedic implants.
