摘要: A symposium held at the 31st European College of Neuropsychopharmacology congress in October 2018 Barcelona, Spain discussed patients’ expectations treatment their depression and how these can be integrated into patient management. Since non-compliance is a major problem patients suffering from depression, it important to identify improve compliance turn efficacy. Currently, there no established protocol for choosing right antidepressant therapy, physicians need tailor choice based on type its predominant symptoms, medical psychiatric history patients, previous response to, adverse events with, treatment. Treatment strategies also adapted each patient’s personality/persona personal beliefs, aware potential drug-associated such as emotional blunting, sexual dysfunction loss functional outcomes, expectation may limit impact discontinuation. Also, placebo effects remain frequent with treatment, currently agreed method predicting therapy. Of available methods determine response, pharmacogenetic testing has limited value while imaging valuable, but not practical routine clinical practice. Online cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) represents new option management particularly who able access direct interaction psychotherapist because severity condition, geographic location or socioeconomic situation.
