摘要: Primitive neuroectodermal tumors/medulloblastoma (PNET/MB) have similarities to progenitor cells of the developing CNS. Since insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) exerts pleiotrophic effects on in CNS, we evaluated production, mitogenic and signaling pathways IGF-I PNET/MB found that is an autocrine human cell lines tested. Stimulation DAOY by led phosphorylation its cognate receptor (IGF-IR) resulted proliferation. These were suppressed IGF-IR blocking antibodies PD 98059, MAP kinase pathway inhibitor. The results demonstrate existence IGF-I/IGF-IR loop indicate promotes proliferation via pathway.
