摘要: Abstract Adipose tissue regulates insulin sensitivity via the circulating adipocytokines, leptin, resistin and adiponectin. Hypoadiponectinemia contributes to development of obesity related disorders such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular diseases. In this study, we investigated effects Brazilian propolis on adiponectin levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), mechanism signaling pathway was explored well. T2DM induced male Wistar rats using high fat diet low dose streptozotocin (STZ, 35 mg/kg, i.p.). Propolis administered by oral tubes. Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) sub abdominal adipose tissue, serum adiponectin, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were detected Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Malondialdehyde (MDA) reduced glutathione (GSH) fasting plasma glucose, triglycerides total cholesterol measured colorimetric method. Results showed that ameliorated hypoadiponectinemia relieved glucose-induced decrease. The analysis indicated PPARγ regulation involved. conclusion, could have beneficial effect increasing levels, restoring enhancing subsequently, attenuating elevated glucose level.
