摘要: An analysis of high-transverse-momentum electrons using data from the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) {ital {bar p}p} collisions {radical}{ital s} =1800 GeV yields values production cross section times branching ratio for W} and Z}{sup 0} bosons {sigma}({ital p}p}{r arrow}{ital WX}{r e}{nu}{ital X})=2.19{plus minus}0.04(stat){plus minus}0.21(syst) nb 0}{ital X}{r e}{sup +}{ital e{minus}}{ital X})=0.209{plus minus}0.013(stat) {plus minus}0.017(syst) nb. Detailed descriptions CDF electron identification, background, efficiency, acceptance are included. Theoretical predictions sections that include a mass top quark larger than mass, current masses, higher-order QCD corrections in good agreement with these measured values.
