摘要: This paper investigates the design using wind-moment method for semi-rigid un-braced steel frames bending on weak axis. A limiting sway has been proposed to reduce frame sway. Allowance section optimization between moment of inertia minor axis column and major beam was used in conjunction with slope-deflection analysis derive equations optimum method. series comprised two, four, six bays ranging height two four storey were studied framing. The designed minimum gravity load maximum wind vice-versa. accuracy equation found be good agreement linear elastic computer up second order analysis. study concluded that adoption should restricted low-rise not more than storey.
