摘要: A sensory function of the lateral line organ was first postulated by Jacobson (1813) on basis its extensive innervation, and he suggested that sensitive to mechanical stimulation. Knox (1825) corroborated this idea, proposed adequate stimulus movements surrounding water. He stated “ … we should consider these organs as touch, so modified, however, hold an intermediate place between sensation touch hearing.”
