Loss of functional capacity caused by a delayed onset of DMARD therapy in rheumatoid arthritis. Long-term follow-up results of the Keitel function test. Brief definite report.

摘要: The aim of this analysis was to investigate the impact postponement DMARD therapy on functional outcome rheumatoid arthritis after 10 years disease. 321 individuals with a disease duration at least ten were selected out cohort more than 1800 patients. Two groups analysed separately: patients who started within first year their disease, and received not earlier five onset RA. Keitel index determined in every patient After swollen joint count ESR had decreased both comparable degree. However, early treatment performed significantly better test compared group delayed therapy. Although seropositive RA or nodules worse general, benefit also significant these subgroups.
